Buckeye modifying Independence Day celebration
Pack up the family, some snacks and drinks and head to Youngker High School for this year’s annual Independence Day celebration on July 4 at 8:45 p.m. Enjoy the a 20-minute fireworks display right from your car.
This year’s event is modified to comply with CDC guidelines of large gatherings of people and physical distancing recommendations. Unfortunately, this means there will be no live entertainment, food and beverage sales, or family activities this year.
Residents can enjoy the fireworks from either inside their vehicles or within their designated parking spot. All food and drinks must also be contained within your vehicle or parking spot. Arizona State law does not permit the consumption of alcohol in vehicles or public spaces.
Nearby neighborhoods can enjoy the show from their yards.
Limited parking will open at 7:30 p.m. and will be on a first come, first serve basis. Some streets surrounding Youngker High will be closed for your safety.
